New Project - Informal Settlements, Cape Town, South Africa

Our new partnership sees us team up with Collocation and the South African National Space Agency to utilise space-based technologies to improve the lives of those living and working within informal settlements.

This project will focus on how we can interpret satellite imagery and community-based decision-making to better understand the challenges faced living within informal settlements. by tapping into open-data protocols, combined with machine-learning we aim to understand the social, economic, environmental and ecological changes across the wider region where these settlement emerge.
